We made it!!! All kit arrived intact. The transfer in Günther's love bus worked (just...) taking us to our very nice apartment with a cracking view over the whole of the north bay.

Woke up on Monday morning to see what looked like proper wind. However advice from Harold the German (owner of the Funfactory wsf centre) was 4.7-5.3, so dubiously I rigged the 5.2.

Turned out that he had called it spot on. A very nice warm-up 2 hours, absolutely perfect on the 5.2 to start with then slightly overpowered later on. Some small waves on which to attempt some riding but overall very easy conditions...a good start to the week.
